| | Celia Briar and Mary Hubble 1999 New Zealand | | Celia Briar (Celtic harp) and Mary Hubble (flute) are both serious talents on the New Zealand folk scene. Their debut album Garden of Daisies is a collection of both original material and elegant and tasteful interpretations of traditional music from England, Ireland and France. Ther is nothing not to like on this album. Briar and Hubble adopt an unhurried, gentle approach to their music that lets it speak for itself. Garden of Daisies echoes a quieter, slower age. The traditonal and original tunes on this album flow together beautifully and improve with each listening. Four stars. Evening Post 16/12/1999
